Will Rhodes
Will Rhodes works as a technical editor for the Laboratory of Cell Biology at NIH and has an MS in Biology from George Mason University. He studied genetics and transgenics, but also has interests in psychology, sociology, astronomy, and history. Before the pandemic restricted on-campus lab research, Will contributed to studies for the application of aerogel beads to tuberculosis diagnostics and proteomic analysis of honey to study colony collapse disorder. For his graduate project, Will conducted a “Systematic Review of the Effects of Sinus Allergies on Susceptibility to Covid-19.”
Will started this blog during the pandemic while a full-time graduate student. He recognized the need for important and accurate scientific information about Covid, as well as other relevant medical and scientific issues written for non-scientists. "Society benefits when we are all scientifically literate."
He is also working on his first manuscript for an original science fiction novel series. He has worked as a math tutor for school aged kids and volunteers as a cat socializer at Friends of Homeless Animals. He currently lives in Bethesda, Maryland.
